“Lifestyle Newborn Photography” – A lot of clients ask, what does that mean? You mean, no squishy naked poses? Well, that’s not really what it means, but those squishy naked poses are considered “posed newborn photography”. Lifestyle indicates that I am capturing you in your home, with your brand new baby as if I wasn’t even really there at all. It means showing the beautiful love that parents have for their new babies and documenting what life was like at that time. I still strive to photograph baby by themselves and get all of the beautiful little details (eyes, lips, nose- fingers and toes) but in a more natural and casual way. Parents are involved in 90% of lifestyle newborn images.
I love that this family of three chose lifestyle for their session, as they had a great space for it, and something about it felt so darn cozy and sweet. This baby boy was born on Christmas Day, an interesting birthday to have and even more coincidental that he shares the same birthday as my mom, brother and baby Jesus 🙂
